What if I do not have any experience?

Our tour is beginner friendly and we paddle calm shallow waters, most of the tour is about 3-5 feet deep.

Is the tour kid friendly?

Yes, we allow ages 3+ on our tours. Youth lifejackets are available and we recommend bringing your own jacket if your child is under the age of 5. We also recommend using a tandem kayak with children in the front and adults in the back.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, we love having dogs join our guided tours or rentals! You can sit them on the front of your paddleboard or next to you in a kayak. We recommend bringing a pet life vest, something to clean up after them, as well as a leash. There are many secluded islands and sandbars to run around on.

Is there a weight limit?

Yes. Our tandem kayaks float up to 500lbs and singles 350lbs.

Are the kayaks comfortable and do they provide back support?

Absolutely! All of our kayaks are the new sit-on top style and very comfortable! The high back seats provide great back support making the tour much more enjoyable!

How often do people flip their kayak over?

It happens occasionally, and usually people tip themselves in by leaning over too far. The water is mostly shallow so you can stand right up if you do go in and most people find it to be refreshing! Our kayaks are very stable and usually tough to flip.

Do you cancel tours for inclement weather?

We check the weather, tides, and wind charts daily. Cancellations usually occur due to lightning or high winds and we will make sure to reschedule your group if needed. We don’t mind getting a little wet if light showers pop up as long as your group doesn’t mind either.

How likely are we to see dolphin, manatee, and other wildlife?

There’s an abundance of marine life frequenting our area, using the inlets to travel from the Bay to the Gulf. We paddle the same highways that they use to navigate daily. Although we can’t guarantee that you will see wildlife, we know the hotspots and always do our best to get you a front row seat!

Are there alligators?

Nope, they don’t like the saltwater!

Is it common to give gratuity to my guide?

It is customary in the United States to give a gratuity to service staff who have done a great job. Our guides go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience while on the water! Typical gratuity ranges from 10% – 20% based on your experience. It is not required, but always greatly appreciated!

What should we bring?

Hats, sunglasses (Polarized recommended), sunscreen or clothes to stay protected from the sun, water shoes or flip flops, drinks/snacks, and an outfit you don’t mind getting a little wet.

How far in advance should we make our reservation?

During peak season our tours and rentals can book up quickly. We recommend making your reservation a few days to a week in advance.

Can I bring my phone?

Yes. We provide dry boxes that will keep your smaller items dry and secure!
